Pakistan beats Nepal 2-1 in the opening game of the SAFF Suzuki Championships Cup 2018. 

in the first half Hassan Naweed Bashir opened the scoring from the penalty spot for Pakistan after Biraj Maharajan fouled Muhammad Riaz.

Pakistan held on till the 82nd minute when Bimal Gharti Magar leveled the game for Nepal with a cool finish. Pakistan left it late to grab the win. Muhammad Ali headed home to give Pakistan the firs 3 points of the Championships.

Later tonight the hosts Bangladesh will play against Bhutan in the other group A game. On the 6th night Bangladesh will host Pakistan after Nepal play against Bhutan in the evening.
