Bangladesh falls to Uzbekistan in their Asian Games opening match.

Bangladesh lost 3-0 to Uzbekistan in both the team's opening match in group B of Asian games in Jakarta, Indonesia.

With heroics from the Bangladeshi goalkeeper Ashraful Islam Rana, Bangladesh was confined to defending. finally Urinboev Zabikhillo game the lead to the Uzbeks in the 23rd minute. 

Goals from Khamdamov Donstonbek and Alibaev Ikromjon gave Uzbekistan a comfortable win over Bangladesh. 

Bangladesh's next match will be in the 16th against Thailand, before facing the group favorites Qatar. Bangladesh will be hosting the SAFF Suzuki Cup next month in Dhaka. Bangladesh is drawn with Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan in Group A of SAFF cup.
