Vietnam beats Nepal 2-0 to advance from the group D of the Asian games 2018.

Vietnam though slightly better showing in the early exchanges. Both the teams were trying to find a break through. Vietnam finally broke the deadlock after half hour, Nguyen Anh heading the ball past Kiran Chemjong from a perfect cross.

Vietnam missed few chances from crosses in the second half. Vietnam finally bagged their victory in the 63rd minute when Van Duc Phan blasted the ball beautifully into the goal from a cut back cross.

The win ensures Vietnam a place in the round of 16. Nepal's next game is on the 19th against Pakistan.
