Pakistan falls to Japan in the Asian games group D match
Japan beats Pakistan 4-0 in both the team's second match in the group D of the ongoing Asian games.
Pakistan took the game to Japan in the very first minute, the counterattack however led to the first of Japan's goals in the 2nd minute. Iwasaki Yuto got behind the defense to just flick the ball past Pakistani shot stopper Saqib Hanif who look stranded. A minute later Saqib was almost punished again after trying to hold a back pass that almost resulted in a goal. It didn't take long though for Japan to double their lead in the ninth minute. Hatate Reo scored the second for the Japan. A minute later poor defending coursed Japan's third goal, scored by Maeda Daizen.
Game seemed over after first ten minutes of the game. Pakistan fought bravely. It looked as though they had stopped the leak in the defense when Iwasaki Yuto had a crushing drive past Saqib hanif for Japan's 4th. Captain Saddam had a free kick from just outside the box. He sent it over the bar.
Second half header was just saved by the Pakistani goalkeeper. Captain Saddam came close with long drive just over the bar.
The score leaves Pakistan at the bottom of the table. Their next game will against Nepal on the 19th.
