New TC Sports Chairman promises to make TC a model club for other Clubs.

TC's new Chairman Shazban Fahmy  said he will make TC an example for other clubs. Shazban spoke to the media, after TC decided to separate their football club as a different component and elected the new chairman and the new board of directors. The TC Chairman said he will make TC a desirable club for players and instead to them chasing players, he will make the players come to the club. He highlighted the need to make TC self sufficient by making it a business as in more advanced footballing nations.

TC since qualifying to the top flight of Maldivian football has done exceptionally well. In 2017 they won the Sheikh Kamal International Club cup held in Bangladesh. Clubs from Malaysia, Bangladesh and Nepal participated in the invitation tournament. TC also finished the Premier League and Male league on numerous occasion. Last year's FA Cup runners-up are currently first in the table having signed Maldives' best player Ali Ashfaq .(Dhagandey).
