In this ongoing Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League, Eagles Football Academy boys have managed to end a match without a defeat for the first time in the league.

When they came into this weekend match against AM Sports Academy, the last first 3 matches for Eagles Football Academy ended very badly as they all the 3 matches.

On the other hand, AM Sports Academy lost two matches out of first three matches and won only one match, against MS Helping Hand Academy.

During the match, it was AMSA boys who took the lead the in the 6th minute. Ali Naif (J#6) scored the opening of the match giving his side, AMSA, an early lead. But it did not take much long, Eagles boys came from behind to level the game just after 3 minutes. Ahmed Raif Naseem (J#10) was the one who scored the equalizing goal for Eagles side.

Match went to interval on a 1-1 level score line.

In the second part of the match also both side showed an average performance as neither side found a neat chance to turn the match on their respective side. When the match reached its last ten minutes, tiredness effected both side players as it was warmer than an average match day.

Losing the first three matches, Eagles Football Academy boys showed really good performance to secure a point from the game.

After the match both side players highlighted that they tried their best to change the game on their favor but being unable to use the best of the chances they created was the reason.

Eagles Football Academy u13 head coach, Ibrahim Saeed (Coach Kaka) said that it was the best match in the league for them so far.

“Even though the climate is warmer than an average day, our boys played better than the previous three games. And we wanted to end the streak of our defeats and our team showed it. I am really happy for it. As a team players showed better commitment and individuals mistakes was much much fewer than previous matches.” Coach Kaka commented.

This youth league is the brand new chapter in the development program of FAM’s “Towards Future”.
Officials from both FAM and respective academies were present to watch the game. Moreover, the parents of the players, friends and families also were present during the match making the environment more exciting.

Dhiraagu is the main sponsor of this brand new chapter of the development program of Football of Maldives.

All the fixtures of this Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League 2018, matches will be played during the weekends. It was decided wisely by FAM as not to interrupt the school routine and extra studying times of these players.

There will be two matches played on each weekend day, Friday and Saturday.
