In the ongoing Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League, BG Sports Academy and Early Touch Football Academy (ETFA) has won today’s matches.

Today’s matches were followed by the opening ceremony of the Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League.

In today today’s first match Early Touch Football Academy (ETFA) debuted into the league against MS Helping Hand Academy. For MS Helping Hand Academy side it was the second match in the league for them as they have already played and lost the entering match to BG Sports Academy.

During the match between ETFA and MS Helping Hand, ETFA juniors managed to score six times in the first half. Ahmed Aayan Imthiaz (J#5) completed a hatrick in the first half for ETFA while Dhayyan Ahmed (J#10) scored a brace and capatian Ahmed Zahan (J#9) scored single time. Match went to half time with a 0-6 score on favor of ETFA.

In the second half, ETFA scored three goals. Abdulla Alan Irfan (J#8) scored a brace mean time Aqsam Ahmed Naseem (J#15) scored a goal too. First match of the evening ended hugely on ETFA favor as they won their debut match with 0-9 score.

In the second match of Friday evening, BG Sports Academy met AM Sports Academy (AMSA). And BG Sports Academy won the match by 4-1. It was BG Sports Academy second match in the league. With this win, BG Sports Academy now has won the first two matches of them in the league. On the other hand, opening match for AMSA.

During the match of BG Sports Academy and AMSA, BG managed to score two times while AMSA scored single time too. Abdulla Nabah (J#10) and  Yousuf Nuhaik (J#6) for BG Academy scored the goals. On the other side, Meesam Mumthaz (J#10) scored the goal for AMSA side.

In the second half of the match, Abdul Maniu Nasir (J#12) and Ahmed Umeys (J#23) managed to enter the score sheet with a single goal each. Match ended on BG Sports Academy favour with a score of 4-1.

This youth league is the brand new chapter in the development program of FAM’s “Towards Future”.
Officials from both FAM and respective academies were present to watch the game. Moreover, the parents of the players, friends and families also were present during the match making the environment more exciting.

Dhiraagu is the main sponsor of this brand new chapter of the development program of Football of Maldives.

All the fixtures of this Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League 2018, matches will be played during the weekends. It was decided wisely by FAM as not to interrupt the school routine and extra studying times of these players.

There will be two matches played on each weekend day, Friday and Saturday.

Upcoming matches in Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League:

• Eagles Football Academy (EFA) vs Maldives Soccer Mates (MSM) – Kick-off. 15:00 hrs.
• Hulhumale’ Sports School (HSS) vs Maziya Academy – Kick-off. 16:30 hrs.

 All the matches of Dhiraagu U-13 Academy Championship will be played at the FAM mini turf pitch.
