Milo Inter School football has kicked off in second largest city of Maldives, Addu City.

Tournament began on 14^th of April and will be going on till 3^rd of May. Tournament matches will be played at the Hithadhoo Zone Stadium.

In this year’s tournament, total 11 school teams from 8 schools will be featuring in under 14 and under 16 age category. Unlike previous year, there will be now senior age category, under 18.

As the tournament has begun last week, both age groups tournament, under 14 and under 16, is going on all together, like one day under14 age group matches and the following day will be under 16 match day.

In under 14 age category, competing schools includes, Maradhoo School, Shamsuddin School, Feydhoo School, Hulhudhoo School, Hithadhoo School and Sharafuddin School.

In under 16 age group, participants are Seenu Atoll School, Irushadhiyya School, Hithadhoo School, Sharafuddin School and Feydhoo School.

Both age group tournaments will be played as in league format. In each age group, every team will be playing against each other one time and the best two teams will advance to direct age group final match.

In under 14 age group there will be total 16 matches players including age group final match. On the other side, in under 16 age category there will be total 11 matches including the age group final.

So far there has being four matches played. Two matches from each age groups, under 14 and under 16.

In the under 16 tournament opening match, Seenu Atoll School met Sharafuddin School. Which ended as a 3-3 draw while both teams got shared points from the match. In the second match of the under 16 age group, Irushadhiyya School met Hithadhoo School. The match was won by Irushadhiyya School on a 3-2 narrow scoreline.

Next match in under 16 will be Sharafuddin School vs Feydhoo School tomorrow afternoon, 18th April, 14:45 hrs at tournament venue, Hithadhoo Zone Stadium.

On the other hand, in under 14 side, in the tournament opening match, Maradhoo School faced Sharafuddin School. Which Sharafuddin side won comfortably by 4-1 score. And in the second match of the age group, Shamsuddin School faced Hithadhoo School. Hithadhoo School managed to win huge over Shamsuddin boys by 6-0 score.

Next match in under 14 will be Feydhoo School vs Hulhudhoo School today afternoon, 14:45 hrs. And in the second match the day, at evening, Maradhoo School will play against Hithadhoo School. Matches will be played at tournament venue, Hithadhoo Zone Stadium.
