In the ongoing Milo Inter School Football Tournament 2018, in under 16, as today the quarter finals have begun. Ahmadhiyya International School and Iskandharu School has secured the first two spots in the semifinals after winning their quarter final matches respectively.

In the first quarter final match, today afternoon, Ahmadhiyya International School met Thaajuddin School. Ahmadhiyya School won the match by 2-0 score line. Just six minutes in to the game, Aalim Abdul Latheef found the back of the net of Thaajuddin goal giving his side an early lead. Aalim Abdul Latheef has being in a very good form in front of the goal as he has scored an amazing number of goals. A beautifull striker from outside of the box went over the Thaajuddin goal keeper head leaving him action less.

Both goals of the match came in the first half of the game. Just before the interval, in the 39^th minute mark, againt Aalim found himself in ascoring postion. Once again from outside the box. This time his shot was stopped by the Thaajuddin goal keeper but not well saved as the ball dropped from his grip in front of another Ahmadhiyya player. J.No#5, Faain Faruhadh found the rebound and put in to the back of the net making it 2-0 before the half time. Ahmadhiyya kept their 100% clean sheet record in this match also. With this win, Ahmadhiyya entered the semifinal round.

And in the second quarter final match, today evening, Iskandharu School met Dharumavantha School. As it was expected prior to the match that this fixture will be a solid match, it was as expected. Both side could not find the back of the net of each other’s goals and the regular time of the match ended as a goal less draw. To decide the winner of the match, both sides was taken on to penalty shootout. Iskandharu School won the match on deciding penalty shootout with a score of 4-3.

Therefore Iskandharu advance to semifinals and has to play their semifinal match against Ahamdhiyya.

The remaining two quarter finals will be played tomorrow. In the third quarter final match, tomorrow afternoon, it will be Ghaazee School vs Imaduddin School. And in the last and the fourth quarter final match, tomorrow evening, Majeedhiyya School will face K.Guraidhoo School.
