Assad Abdul Ghani has been named the head coach of Zefrol.

Assad who is the brother of Maldives Internation and New Radiant star Akram(Aku) is the only Maldivian captain to lift the SAFF Games. Known as the 'Gold Captain' or simply as 'Kappi' had had an illustrious playing career. Assad retired from club football having played his last game in 2014 for Club Eagles.

Assad also worked as an assistant coach in the Senior National Team.
