Ahmadhiyya International School has secured a spot in the age group, under 18, final in Milo Inter School Football Tournament 2018.

After a 1 – 2 win against Centre for Higher Secondary Education in today’s evening encounter, Ahmadhiyya has managed to keep their winning streak on as they have won the two games so far in the tournament. Their opening match was against champion Villa International High School (VIHS). And AIS won the match by 0-2 score. In the second match they made their second victory against CHSE.

In the tournament venue, Henveiru Ground, with the fans, Ahmadhiyyaa showed a very attractive performance as they managed to score the first two of the evening. In the first half, just before the half time, Ahmadhiyya scored their first and took the lead. CHSE could not do much in the time left before interval as game went on half time with AIS leading by 0-1.

As seen in the first half, Ahmadhiyya seems growing in the game as the game kept going on. Nevertheless, CHSE also was seen much better and improved during the second half. It did not take much longer for AIS to score their second of the evening, doubling their lead making it 0-2.

With tactical changes and by bringing fresh players in to the game, CHSE side managed to score their first and made it 1-2 on the score line just before a quarter of minutes left in the regular time. It was the substitute player, J.No#9 Yamin, who scored the CHSE goal after brilliantly beating AIS goalie. CHSE kept threatening AIS goal through crosses and from set pieces. Have to highlight that, players in blue shirts, CHSE, got few good chances to score and level the game. Somehow they were being unlucky as the game ended on AIS favor with a 1-2 score.

With this consecutive second win from the tournament, Ahmadhiyya is now guaranteed to play on one side in the age group final.

Current champion of the age group is Villa International High School. Runner-up is Dh.Atoll Education Center (Dh.Kudahuvadhoo) School.
