HIRIYA AND MAJEEDHIYYA TO INTER SCHOOL UNDER 14 SEMI FINAL.

In the ongoing Milo Inter School Football Tournament 2018’s under 14 age category, Hiriya School and Majeedhiyya School has advanced into the semifinals of the tournament after winning quarter final matches respectively. Majeedhiyaa defeated the current champions, Ahmadhiyya International School to secure the semifinal spot.

Firstly, it was Hiriya School, a team holding brilliant stats as “team to score most goals” and “only team not to concede a single goal”, won their quarter final match today afternoon against Thaajuddhin School. Hiriya School won the match by 3-1 against Thaajuddin School, who entered the quarter final round as runner-ups of group B. On the other hand, Hiriyaa School stepped into the quarter finals as the top team of group A, with maximum points (only two teams was able to get maximum points during group stage round). But unfortunately after quarter final match Hiriya School won’t be as the “only team not to concede a single goal” as they Thaajuddin School scored against them.

In the quarter final second match today evening between, group B winners Majeedhiya School and group A runner-ups and the current age catagory champions Ahmadhiyya International School, match was ended on favor of junior reds of Majeedhiyya School. Majeedhiyya  School managed to earn the second semifinal spot with a single goal win against champion Ahmadhiyya. The only goal of the match by J.21 of Majeedhiyya School, Ahmed Yazin Mahudhee at the 44 minute guaranteed the three points for the junior reds and it gave the ticket to march forward in the tournament.

The next two fixtures of quarter finals is to be played on 18th March during afternoon and evening at the same venue, Henveiru Ground.

First semifinal match will be played between Hiriyaa School and Majeedhiyyaa School on 20th March.

Second semifinal match will be played between the winners of last two quarter finals. This semifinal is set to go on 21st March.

Under 14 age category final match will take place on 24th March between the winners of two semifinals.

Current champion of the age group is Ahmadhiyya International School.
