Laszlo Kiss worked wonder with his side as Victory beat TC 2-1. This result see victory jump up to fifth in the league standings with three points. Meanwhile for TC their miserable start to the Male' league continues.  TC kick started their season with a two legged win against Bangladeshi side Saif in the AFC Cup preliminary stage. But things have gone down hill ever since their thumping defeat against Bengaluru FC in the AFC Cup play-off.

TC's first game of Male' league was against Henvieru rivals New radiant where they lost by three goal. The defeat was followed by a disappointing draw against Club Green Streets.

Victory's start to the season was as disappointing as TC. The reds kicked off their season with a 4-1 defeat against Eagles. In the second game reds lost to United Victory and remained pointless coming into the the game against TC.

Victory went off to a flying start in the game as Angel Munoz gave Reds the lead in the first minute of the game.
