Nolhivaranfaru Football team has prepared for the Minivan Championship with full passion.

Nolhivaranfaru FT started their practices on February 4^th with the aim of winning the atoll round and reaching the finals. The team includes players only from Hd.Nolhivaranfaru, with experienced and young players from the island and is currently practicing under Mohamed Tholaal.

Speaking to BoalhaMV, Tholaal stated that the team has very talented and experienced players and is well prepared for the tournament.  There are a little injuries but the player will get fit before the tournament. He also said that the team played 3 fiendly matches since he arrived and has produced good results. Won the matches against kelaa and Nellaidhoo but they were defeated by Hanimaadhoo. Tholaal said that even though they lost from the match, he is happy about the hard work and commitment by players in the match and in the practice.

“In this stage, budget is really low compared to the big tournaments held. Even the council does not want to spend too much on one particular thing. But have got surprising support and help from citizens for a lot of things. The main drawback is that most of the players are working in nearby resorts so there would be difficulties. Since FAM delayed the kick off from March 3^rd to March 7^th, we will have to play at a huge risk as the tournament goes on. Players working in resorts had already set their off days according to the previous schedule, but now it would be difficult for them to change again. FAM needs to pay more attention and provide a lot of support for football outside of Male.” Tholaal stated.

Nolhivaranfaru Football Team has begun their journey to claim what they could not last year. Nolhivaranfaru has been drawn in the same group with the Kulhudhuffushi, Kurinbi and Kumundhoo. They will play the first on 7^th march 2018 against Hd.Kulhudhuffushi.
