RUMOR: ANSAR TO JOIN THE RESURGENT VALENCIA?

Former Maldivian International Ansar Ibrahim is all set to join Club Valencia according to our sources.

Former Eagles star Ansar (Anko), finished 2017 with Thinadhoo. Ansar had played an integral part of Coach Saanthi's Eagles from a very young age. Ricki Herbert selected him to the senior National Team after impressing with the under 23s at the age of nineteen. Anko had a good run until Herbert was sacked as the coach of the National Team. Anko played has five caps and two international goals to his name. He is yet to impress the current coach. Anko started the season as Club Eagles vice captain.

Three time best five youth players of the (Under 21) tournament joined club Eagles as a sixteen year old. He played four under 21 tournaments. The first one ended with a Runner-up medal for Club Eagles. Won the next three, one with Valencia and two with Club Eagles. He played for Eagles while still in school.

Club Valencia said to have agreed terms with former Green Streets Coach Sobah are in contact with several players, including highly rated Maalhos striker Ahmed Arif, his team mate Abdulla Ibrahim (Crespo) and Milandhoo strongman Nizam (PK).

Valencia will take part in the new look Male' league with ten teams.
