Eagles beat Maziya on penalties to lift the Under 21 Championship for the third consecutive year.

Maziya scored late in the second half. Goal by Ibrahim Atheeq stunned the favorites Eagles. Until late in the second half it looked like Maziya's year until Eagles were awarded a very questionable Freekick. Naim's freekick was saved by Hussain Shareef, but he could only look on as Ahmed Tholal scored into the empty goal in the 87th minute.

Mohamed Ashwan became the Hero for Eagles, as he scored the final kick of the shootout to win it for Eagles. Ashawan had already saved 3 penalties.

Coach Ahmed Shakir becomes the first coach to win the under 21 Championship 3 times in a row. The most remarkable one in 2014 when Eagles bullied their way to win the championship without conceding a siingle goal. Eagles youth policy has been remarkable providing national side with the likes of Ahmed Rizvan. Maziya is not far behind.
