Ismail Mahfooz(imma) is back as the Head coach of Maziya for the reminder of the season. He was the coach of Maziya when they started to play in the first division in 2006. He resigned from the position in 2014. Maziya has been without a coach since they decided not to renew the contract of former coach Marjan Sekulovski at the end of October.

During Imma's time at Maziya he won the FA cup with them in 2012. Since he left in 2014 it has been only 3 years and during this time Maziya won all the competitions for first division clubs in Maldives.

Currently Maziya is in 3rd place of the league, 7 points behind the league leaders. With only 3 matches left to play in the league, its almost impossible for them to win the Premier league. Imma's first match in charge would be next Saturday against Milandhoo.
