Football Association of Maldives and Football Association of Qatar has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Under the MOC, which is active for the next five years, both Football associations look forward to improving the existing relations between the two associations. Football Association of Maldives further hopes to get technical assistance on the National Teams, the footballing structure in the country and assist each other association in promotion of Football.

2022 World Cup is scheduled to be held in Qatar.
