The current FAM president Bassam Adheel Jaleel elected on last November said that Maldives need a plan with everyone's involvement to build a future. Even when he first got elected he promised to make a big plan with help from experienced people in the Maldivian football family.

FAM had the first meeting for the strategic plan on 26th of this month. The series of meeting held since ended today. Coaches of first division and second division teams and officials of Atoll teams participated in these meetings.

Some important figures in this meeting include Olympic Committee's Chairman Mohamed Shaveedh, Secretary General, Ahmed Marzooq and former National team Captain Assad Abdul Ghani.
