Fiyoaree Association for Community Empowerment (FACE Association) has opened up a Football Academy named as FACE Football Academy in Fiyoaree. The objective of the Academy is to improve and develop the Footballing skills of young children, there by facilitating development of professional footballers in the island. An official ceremony was held yesterday in the Fiyoaree Football Stadium to inaugurate the Academy.

The Academy is targeted for children between the ages from 7 to 14 and currently 40 children are enrolled in the Academy.

FACE Football Academy has two AFC “C” license coaches from Fiyoaree working at the Academy. FACE Football Academy does not charge any fee from its kids. FACE Football Academy’s main sponsor is “White Rabbit Sports”, a shop specialized in selling football jerseys.

FACE Association has been working for social development in Fiyoaree since 2012. They currently run a Quruan class in the island and are also working on other development initiatives such as building a Mosque and developing a children’s park in the island.
