Maldives National Team and Club Valencia's number one shot-stopper Mohamed Faisal have requested release from Valencia. 

Faisal’s requested release was due to a salary issue with Valencia. However boalha.mv understands that Valencia has paid all local players to date. 

Faisal has not featured for Valencia since the start of the season due to clashes with the management. Some reports suggest the player and club management have had disagreements regarding salary. 

Faisal is a vastly experienced player and has a dozen of international experience under his belt but he will not be part of the Valencia squad taking on Paro FC of Bhutan in tonight’s AFC Cup preliminary round fixture. 

With the local transfer period opening next month, Faisal is likely to end up at one of the top teams. Club Eagles who had let go of Lebanese keeper Taha could be Faisal's next club.
