Club Valencia appoints experienced coach Mohamed Athif.

Athif joins the newly promoted Giants of Maldivian football on a one year deal. Club Valencia was promoted to the Dhivehi Premier League after winning the Second Division last year. Valencia beat the fellow Premier League new comers Super United Sports in the final match to be crowned champions of second division. 

Former TC Sports is a long serving coach, having worked with Victory Sports Club and United Victory. Former Club Lagoons striker also worked in Women's National team as well as the Under-19 Boys National Team with noteworthy results.
