Maziya in talks to bring back Adubarey

Maziya Sports and Recreation Club is discussing to bring back their former player Ashad Ali (Adubarey) for the upcoming matches of AFC Cup 2020.

Speaking to BoalhaMV, an official from Maziya said that they will bring some minor changes to the squad, but the changes to be announced after 2 weeks’ time.

Adubarey is a former forward for Maziya S&RC. He also held Maziya's Captain band for several matches.

Talks are ongoing  between Adubarey and Maziya, however it is not yet confirmed, the official says. Adbarey was last seen in Green Street Club where he joined in 2018.

Now he is holding a position of State Minister at the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment. 

He is also a former National Team player. He was the Captain of the National Team in 2016, during Bangabandhu gold cup which was held in Bangladesh. In that competition he led the National team into the Semi finals.   

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided that the remaining matches of Group E will be held in the Maldives.

AFC Cup 2020 was halted due to the rapid spread of Covid_19 Pandemic in Asia.  But the remaining matches will take place from October 23. Group stage matches are scheduled to end by November 4.

Maziya will face Bangladeshi team 'Bashundhara Kings' on October 23. Later on 26  and 29th Maziya has to play against TC Sports Club.
