MNDF Sargent Adam Fazeel has been selected for the AFC Elite Referees panel after a two year recruiting program. Fazeel was selected for the panel on November 2019.

This is the first time a referee from MNDF has been selected as a AFC elite referee. As a AFc elite referee Fazeel can officiate in AFC anf FIFA competitions. This includes the AFC cup, AFC champions league and World cup qualification matches. 

Fazeel has been described by many as someone who rose quickly through the ranks to achieve great success in a short period of time and has been awarded FAM referee of the year twice. 

Many coaches and players in the league have been critical of referees on many occasion but Fazeel remains one of the most consistent performers and has received praise from players and fans alike for his officiating.
