English premiership suspended

The English Premiership has been suspended for three weeks due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in the United Kingdom.

The league is set to return to action on the 14th of April.

The decision comes after Arsenal manager Michael Arteta and Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson Odoi have been both tested positive for Covid-19

The premier league has announced that if the conditions in the UK does not return to normal the April 14th deadline maybe be further delayed and heath officials advice will be considered in any case.

Liverpool sit top of the premiership and have the chance to secure the title with three more points while the battle for European places and the relegation battle intensifies.

This weeks match day was previously been planned to be played behind closed doors by the premier league but the FA has intervened.

Many sporting events have been cancelled and delayed due to Covid-19 including the Champions League and Europa league along with a number of Moto gp races and Formula 1.
