Maldives number one, and the legend, Ali Ashfag has under gone a knee surgery in Sri Lanka.

He notified the news by posting a photo on the hospital bed via his official Facebook page, just after the operation stating that:

“ Undergone a knee surgery. Will try my best to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.”

It is believed that he has being playing with this same injury for a season or two. Recently he ended his contract with Malaysian PDRM FA on  mutual understanding between the two parties, as he stated in his official facebook page that he took that decision to  recover from a back injury that he was suffering from.

He has agreed to joined New Radiant Sports Club for a short term. And he is expected to feature in the national football stadium once again being out from the game for months. This is his third time that he has joined the blues, the very club where he has won every domestic title and individual award.
