Kithuna selected for National team
SUS-Super United Sports

Best player of FAM Second division Adam Nizam (Kithuna) of Super United Sports has been called to the national team squad for the upcoming World cup and Asian cup joint qualifiers against China and Syria. An official of FA who spoke to Boalha.mv said that Kithuna has been called to join the practice session of the Senior Men's National side spear headed by Dutchman Martin Koopman.

Kithuna was impressive for Super United as they achieved promotion to the first division despite losing the final to Valencia. Kithuna was an instrumental part of Super United as he took home the best player and top scorer award. Kithuna is a full time member of the five-star luxury Sonevafushi resort in his native Baa atoll.

Kithuna's call up to the National Team comes as no surprise. His talent, dedication and work rate would be hard to match. While working for Sonevafushi, Kithuna came on match days to play for Super United and left after each match back to his full time job.

Born in Baa Goidhoo, Kithuna previously played for the likes of Baa Fehendhoo in the Minivan Championship as well in a number of Futsal tournaments and also played a major role for Baa Eydhafushi in Minivan Championship 2016 win.

The FA official who spoke with Boalha.mv said that the FA has requested for his release from Sonevafushi. The 32 yea-rold is described by natives of Baa Atoll as 'The Goal Machine'. A killer goalscorer Kithuna is likely to replace injured Maziya captain Asadulla Abdullah in the National Squad.

New Red Snappers boss Martin Koopman promised in his first interview that he will not select players depending on their age. He said that no matter the age if the player is playing well he will select them. Koopman decision to include Kithuna is sure to be warmly welcomed by the Red Snappers fans.
