Maziya Sports and Recreation Clubs crucial AFC Cup first leg has been scheduled at home against India giants Bengaluru FC. The Green Boys welcome Bengaluru to Male' for the first leg on 19th February, Wednesday while the return leg takes place on the 26th at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Karnataka. 

The champions of the Indian super league confirmed their playoff spot in spectacular style after demolishing Paro FC of Bhutan 10-1 on aggregate. Maziya narrowly squeezed thorough to the playoffs after a goalless drawn in the home leg against Dhaka Abahani. The Green Boys away goals in Dhaka gave them the edge. 

Awaiting for the playoff winners in group E of the AFC Cup are Indian I league champions Chennai FC, Bangladeshi premier league champions lead by former New Radiant gaffer Oscar Bruzon and last years league champions of Maldives, TC Sports. 

Speaking about the Playoff game against Bengaluru, Maziya boss Marjan Sekulovski said his side must come into the game full of confidence. Marjan added that he did not want to make any excuse since his side had made into the playoffs but said he is concerned with injuries and fitness of some of his players. "We scored two goals in Dhaka and at home we did not concede a goal. So we must face Bengaluru with full confidence" said Marjan.
