"I Will Still Speak-Out" Says Suzain As He Lands National Team Job

"I will still speak out when needed, only difference is I now work together with the FA" said Ali Suzain speaking to the media earlier tonight.

The experienced coach also said that he will do his utmost to advice the head coach in selecting a national squad that gains the trust of the supporters and the media. According to the former Victory, Maziya and Green Streets coach the current squad is based on the previous squad and that not much will change as Maldives Head Coach Martin Koopman has not had the time to evaluate players yet.

When asked if he is not ashamed to be in that position being a critic of the Football Association and it's President Bassam Adheel Jalil, Suzain said that there isn't anything has to be ashamed of. Suzain said that he has been working in football since 1986 sincerely. Suzain also said that he has only spoken out to make things better, giving the example of his criticism at the start of last season. Maldives' most decorated coach also said that he has not had any personal issues with the FA President Bassam. "I will always speak out in the interest of football" The experienced coach said.

"Should I speak out to the public, tweet or talk to the media? Or should I speak to the FA directly now that we work closely? I want to ask you!" Ali Suzain said.

Ali Suzain, the most successful coach in Maldives history has eleven Cups to his name. Ali Suzain has lifted four President's Cups, three FA Cups, two Charity Shields, a Dhivehi League and a Male' League. Ali Suzain started as Ahmed Mauroof's(Maattey) at Victory Sports Club after retiring as a player. After a very successful spell succeeding Maattey at Victory, Suzain also coached Maziya and Green Streets.
