Football Association of Maldives General Secretary Hussain Jawaz has shown his displeasure over the fixture changes in the upcoming SAFF Games.

Jawaz tweeted earlier today calling the final draw 'unacceptable and ridiculous'. Maldives had complained after South Asian Federation changed the format from two group format to five team league format after India withdrew from the tournament.

Games are played daily with a rest day before the top two teams play a final match on the 10th of December. Maldives play against Sri Lanka on the 2nd December at 17:00pm and then again on the 3rd December against Bangladesh. It is highly unusual for Football games to be played like this at this level.

Earlier Maldives, India and Sri Lanka were drawn in the same group. Two top teams would play semi finals against the two top teams from Bhutan, Bangladesh and hosts Nepal.
