Ten man Da Grande grabs late Equalizer against Green Streets in Dhivehi Premier League game today.

Long pass in to the path of Ali Ashfaq(Dhagandey) from midfield found the Iron Man free in the box. Dhagandey coolly lobbed the ball into the net to give the lead to Green Streets just over half an hour into the game.

Green Streets had several chances to take the lead, several players squandering chances including man of the man Dhagandey himself. To make matters worse for Da Grande, their captain Mohamed Rasheed(Hockey) was dismissed with fifteen minutes left to play. Da Grande fought on and were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute. Substitute Obaida Kadhum Ahmed stepped up making the score level.

Da Grande moves back into fifth place with a game in hand after the draw, level on points with Foakaidhoo in sixth place and Eagles in fourth place all with fifteen points. Meanwhile second placed Green Streets having played a game more than league leaders Maziya are six points behind. Maziya have a chance to go nine points clear when they take on Eagles later tonight.
