Club eagles shock New radiant in the STO Male’ league with slim one nil win in the last match of the 1^st round. With this win Eagles move to 4^th place with 10 points.

Eagles showed a solid defensive performance and frustrated New Radiant. Blues failed to take advantage of the open  chances while eagles perfected their game plane and took advantage of the only opportunities they got.

The only goal of the game came from Mohamed Naaim after a cross from Ahmed Rizvan. Naaim slotted the ball into the back of the net while being surrounded by three New Radiant defenders.

Just after the full time whistle a huge fight broke out with both team players officials and supporters clashed.

After the game New Radiant coach Bernado Tavares said that his side played well. “We played well eagles wasted a lot of time and still the referee gave 4 minutes” said Tavares.

Eagles coach Saanthi told that the win was very important. “we perfected our game plan everything went well” Said saanthi.

Commenting of the ugly scenes that took place he said that he doesn’t want to see anything like that and urged FAM to punish all players involved.
