President of the Football Association of Maldives, Bassam Adheel Jaleel meets with the Maldives national team.

"It was wonderful to see the motivation of all the players before the tough match against China" Bassam posted on his Instagram. Bassam met the team in Hotel Jen(Shangri-La). The national team has been staying in Hotel Jen in preparation for tomorrow night's crucial game against China.

China favorites in the group arrived in Maldives for the match to be played on the 10th of September.

The people of Maldives have shown support since announcement of the inclusion of Ali Ashfaq(Dhagandey) to the national squad. Four hours after opening sales, tickets to the Maldives-China game were sold-out hundreds declaring support for the Maldives legend. 

Last month both Dhagandey and Bassam tweeted photo's of a meeting between the two. Dhagandey tweeted that he is reassured for the future of Maldivian football while Bassam called him ' one of the best footballers ever to embrace the football field'.
