Mohamed Shazly starts is set to start training as the head coach of the under-19 national team.

National under-19 team are preparing for the SAFF Under-19 and Asian qualifying games. Fareed Mohamed and Aafiu Mohamed will be assisting Shazly in the under-19 team. 

Talking to BoalhaMV, Shazly said that it is selection phase and that he will have more information regarding the team when the selection is done. "The key player so far is Choatu(Hassan Nazeem Gassim)" Shazly told BoalhaMV when asked about key players.

Choatu has been a regular player since his debut for Foakaidhoo FC in last season's Premier League as a 17 year old.

Shazly, the only Maldivian to hold the Continental Pro-License has is currently the head of Coach Education Department in the Football Association. Former BG Sports and Victory coach is also a coach instructor. His assistant Fareed, former National player is best known as the coach who won Second Division with Da Grande bringing them to the Premier League. Aafiu worked as Mohamed Nizam's (Nizambe) assistant in TC Sports winning the Premier League and the Sheikh Kamal International Invitational Cup.
