A few nights back, Club green streets announced that they went digital. This a first in the Maldives. They have utilized a digital solution for club management. This being the era of technology, maybe they’ve taken the first step for a more hassle and paper free future in the administration department of Football life within Maldives.

Furthermore, they also have provided what they plan to do with this new digitalization, to manage their club online and on the go, which seems perfectly sensible as everyone has their own mobile, and they can reach out to their fellow players with ease. Not only have they proved that they are trying to improve the future of the sport, but they also mentioned proudly that they’ve lent the club management system to their brothers at TC sports club.

Will this be the beginning of a digital environment within the football families and friends of Maldives? They have definitely started a new trend, will others follow them in pursuit?

The Dhivehi Premier League is right around the corner, and we are seeing all the clubs busily trading through the transfer markets and warming up and training vigorously. The first match of the season is to be played between Da Grande Amigos New Generation and Nilandhoo on the 13^th of June 2019 at Galolhu Stadium.
