CHSE wins big against Ghaazee and they regains top spot in the Mamen Inter School Football Tournament’s U-18 tier. CHSE came on the back of a 3-0 win over defending champions, Ahmadhiyya and for Ghaazee it was their tournament’s first game.

Compared to the final score of the game the match’s first half was pretty dry. CHSE however had more ball possession and created more chances which lead Mohamed Maaish Mausoom to net the opener for CHSE in the 9th minute. After a pretty dry spell in the half Ghaazee was awarded with a freekick in the 32nd minute, which Mijdhaf Abdul Majeedh finishes in style levelling matters as half time approached. However, the CHSE wasn’t going to make the dressing room talks easier for Ghaazee as Mohamed Maaish Mausoom is again involved as CHSE regains the lead two minutes from the half time whistle.

The team talks surely had an effect on the CHSE side as they started the second half with pure dominance Ibrahim Amr Ziya netting their 3rd immediately after the start of the second half. After that it all went wrong for Ghaazee as they conceded another eight making it a nightmare start to their tournament. After Mohamed Maaish Mausoom completes his hat-trick at the 47th minute, a pretty dry tenth of the game was played. The game ignited back to life with an own goal of Ghaazee, by Ahmed Anoof Moosa in the 62nd minute which increased CHSE’s lead over the Ghaazee side. This was followed by Mohamed Maaish Mausoom’s completion of double hat-trick within the space of five minutes, scoring in the 66th, 69th and 71st minute. His scoring streak carried on for another three minutes as he netted his 7th of the game in the 74th minute. This goal fiesta was followed by an absolute thunderbolt of a strike by CHSE substitute Yanish Mohamed Rasheed in the first minute of stoppage time. Another goal was scored in the following minute courtesy of Ahmed Sidhaadh Mohamed.

The game witnessed a total of 12 goals, with CHSE scoring 11 of them. The current highest scoring blue side’s star player Mohamed Maaish Mausoom has now netted in 9 goals out of the total 14 goals CHSE has so far scored in the tournament with 7 of those coming in today. This win takes CHSE back to the top of the table with 6 points where they can relax for a few days as VIHS who has 3 points currently will be playing on Monday.
