Inter School: Imaduddin wins and advance to quarters, Ghiyasuddin exits with hope for next year
Inter School Football Towards Future

In the ongoing Mamen Inter School Football Tournament, group D also has played their final group stage games.

First game was Imaduddin School versus Ghiyasuddin International School.

When Imauddin, the orange army faced this match, there was a very hopeful situation for the current under 16 champions side. Orange army side was on 3 point, which they collect against Iskandharu School from later goal victory. But sadly they lost to group toppers, Rehendhi School.

On the hand, when Ghiyasuddin came into the match, they have already lost their hopes to go further in the tournament as they got defeated in their first two matches.

So for Imaduddin to move forward to the next round, the possibilities were:

If Imaduddin wins against Ghiyasuddin, and Iskandharu versus Rehendhi match draws, then Imaduddin goes through.

If Imaduddin wins and Iskandharu versus Rehendhi match ends on rehendh favour, Imauddin advance.

If Imaduddin wins and Iskandharu beats Rehendhi by 4 goals margin, then also Imaduddin advance.

So for Imaduddin it was a very hopeful situation. But no matter what the possibilities lies in front of them, the orange army kicked off the game on their own terms and they won.

First half of the match dominated by Imaduddin side. Ghiyasuddin was missing the spirit. That’s what the game showed. Imaduddin was trying to score as soon as possible, playing balls to forward more often than any previous games of them. And they were successful to collect few good chances to score. Even inside the 18-yard box. But was not lucky enough to finish it well.

Following a goal less first action, game went on to half time.

Second half was also started well from the Imaduddin, the team to whom the game was crucial. It seems the half time talk in orange army dressing room was effective as they went to score from the very first chances of their second half action. Just three minutes into the game, the goal by Mohamed Shaain at the 38th minute gave the lead to Imaduddin. To a lead which they held on until the final whistle of the match.

As the Imaduddin knew, it was a very crucial three points for them, and it lead them to the quarter finals. On the hand, though it is hard but Ghiyasuddin walked off from this year inter school football tournament with hopes for next year.
