Yesterday’s evening battle between Aminiyya and Muhyiddin ended in favour of Aminiyya, taking them into the quarters.

The game’s first half was pretty intense however lacked any goals. The game came into life in the second half as Muhyiddin’s Ibrahim Zaleef Mohamed strikes a ball which ended up in Aminiyya’s net in the 45^th minute. However, 5 minutes later Aminiyya’s Mohamed Iyan Hassan scores a goal for Aminiyya which leveled the game. Three minutes later Mohamed Naahim of Muhyiddin ripples the Aminiyya net again. The goals kept on coming. Five minutes later again Aminiyya drew level courtesy of an Aiman Ahmed strike. After that the game’s intensity rose as Aminiyya was desperate and fighting for one more goal. Muhyiddin wasn’t gonna make that road any easy for them though. However, it was better late than never for Aminiyya as cheers were heard in the crowd as they won a stoppage time penalty. All the pressure and responsibility of scoring was given to Yooshau Bin Ali Nasheed. His shot ended up in the Muhyiddin net and that was a huge sigh of relief for them.

This hard fought win for Aminiyya means they are now through to Quarter finals. Surprisingly from the group of death only one of the so called powerhouses (Majeedhiyya) managed to make it through to the Quarters. Aminiyya surely the underdogs of the group surprised all the teams.
