The Mamen Inter-school Football Championship is now headed to the last matches of its group stage. Some teams have already taken their spot in the quarter while for others the result of these last group stage matches are vital for them to carry on further in the tournament.

As we look at group A of whose last round of group stage matches will kick off today at 1400hrs at the National Stadium, we are seeing a strong and experienced Ghaazee side who has already taken their spot in the quarters with 6 points and a 16 goal difference. Meanwhile at the other end of the table we are seeing the newbie of the tournament Huravee who is currently knocked out after 2 games with 0 points and a -18 goal difference. Much to learn for them surely from this tournament.

In second place is a Jamaluddin side who needs a win at all costs against Ghaazee if they are to qualify for the quarters. If Ghaazee beats or draws Jamaluddin, the only other option left for the blues is if Huravee manages to surprise and beat or draw against Thaajuddin in the evening game. Both Thaajuddin and Jamaluddin have 3 points but Jamaluddin currently occupies second place due to the goal difference advantage they have. Surely some exciting football to look forward to today.
