Football Association of Maldives second division tournament is set to kick off on 15th of this April. The draw of the tournament was held today in FAM house.

Champion of last year, VK Sports groups with last years first division fighter, BG Sports. And last two team of this group is Club PK and Zefrol.

On the other group, last year runner up of third division, Kuda Henveiru shares the group with Mahibadhoo, Da Grand Amigos New Generation (DA G.A.N.G), JJ Sports and Sports Club Mecano.

It was believed that there will be 10 teams in this ties this year, but due to some unknown reasons Vyansa, a club once fought in top tier of Maldives football, is not going to take part in this year’s second division. Therefore there will only 9 teams will be fighting for the title with the hope to get in to Dhivehi League Qualifying. The winners and runner ups from this tournament will get chance to go head to head in Dhivehi League Qualifying against the bottom 4 teams of ongoing Male’ League.
