Today in the on going Mamen Inter School Football Tournament 2019, Majeedhiyya School has collected another great win against strong Ameeniyya.

Majeedhiyya went on to score six to nil to win the much needed three points. With this points and another three from the first game, the reds now see themself in the quarter finals.

 

Majeedhiyya faced the match with the confidence from their first victory against Muhyiddin in the group opening game. Which they won by 5-1. On the other hand Ameeniyya also came into this match with a great win against Ahamdhiyyaa with brilliant second half of that match.

 

Both teams we're in search for another three points as it gives the ticket to quarter stage. Both kicked off the game in strong foot but Majeedhiyya reds took the driving seat with a aggressive attacking play. As a result just 6 minutes into the first half, the reds opened their scoring account. 

 

An in swinging corner by Anas Mohamed bounced in the near post and Aminiyya Keeper was too slow to get a touch on the bouncing ball as it went into the back of the net.

 

An early lead gave huge confidence to the defending champions of the age group, Majeedhiyya. On the other hand Aminiyya was successful to keep Majeedhiyya from scoring for aleast 15 minutes. 

 

At the 22nd minute Majeedhiyya took the advantage of an uncleared ball inform of the box. A free kick from the central line was placed inside the box and while Aminiya failed to get rid of the ball from their defence zone, Hummaid Hassan's low driving shot found the right bottom corner of the goal. Majeedhiyya found them self with a great chance to score again. This time from the penalty spot. During a Majeehdiyya corner a defender of Aminiya was penalized for a foul commit to reds striker. But the reds missed the resulting penalty.

 

Just before the half time another goal was scored by Majeedhiyya. This time it is Ahmed Maish Rasheed. Match went to interval, Majeedhiyya leading by 3-0.

 

During second half also Majeehdiya scores 3 goals. First two goals were scored within 2 minutes at 42nd and 44th. A brilliant two goals from both 1 on 1 situation agaisnt Aminiya goal keeper was well used by the number 7 of the reds. Ahmed Maish Rasheed completed his hatrick with brilliant finishing. The final goal and the last of the noon was scored by Ahmed Maish Mohamed with a long low driving shot out side the box. 

 

In the last group stage match Majeedhiya have to face Ahamdhiyya. 

 

Under 15 age group matches of this year inter school football will be held at National Football Stadium. Entrance is free for all the supporters.
