Maalhos School holds Inter House Football Tournament.

In three divisions of Maalhos School including nursery junior and senior boys, Yaagooth house beat rivals Ran Mui. Yaagooth are the champions in all three divisions in the two day festival held this weekend. Maalhos School has just about eighty students in which a little over 50 students play football. Maalhos school is very committed to football in the region. 

Maalhos qualified to the Dhivehi Premier League in 2017. Despite a surprise showing including beating Green Streets in DPL, Maalhos did not qualify to the Premier League in 2018. Leading the group in early stages Maalhos loss to Fehendhoo in the final group match sealed their faith.

Maalhos produced great players in recent years including captain Ibrahim Naaif, Ali Naiz and Ahmed Ari(Aari) who played for TC Sports in 2018. Naaif who scored three goals playing as a defensive midfielder in DPL of 2017 also had a short stint with New Radiant Sports Club and Ali Naiz featured for Club Eagles in 2014. Mohamed Yaamin was Club Eagles deputy goalkeeper in their under 21 squad. Club Valencia took Maalhos' 2017 DPL goalkeeper Ibrahim Zameer(Ibu) while Foakaidhoo FC signed Hamdhoon(Humty) as their under 21 goalkeeper.

Currently there are two Maalhos players on trial in under 23 national team. Ali Falah of United Victory and Ahmed Faris(Kooku) of Foakaidhoo FC. From a population of less than eight hundred, Maalhos' contribution to football cannot be dismissed. Hassan Fuad(Jack) played for Maziya Sports under 21 side in 2017 while Adam Saajid, last season's Maalhos DPL player played for Huraa in their hey-day.

Ahmed Amjad who is about to sign for Foakaidhoo FC, also played in Maalhos DPL side and VB sports in 2013 as a teenager. The Wajeeh brothers Ahmed Wajeed and Ismail Wajeeh both registered with DPL side Foakaidhoo also represented Maldives in junior levels.

Maalhos supporters were awarded the best supporters in the Maldives Football Awards 2017. Aari's goal against New Radiant where he beat few defenders before beating goalkeeper Imran was nominated for the goal of the season award.
