After a year, the Milo Kids Football Fiesta is has kicked off today.

The festival started with a special ceremony held in which Tourism Minister and currently acting Youth Minister Ali Waheed was the special guest. Milo and other sponsors also took part in this ceremony.

One of the most hyped kids football festivals held locally, the Milo Football Fiesta will be ongoing from 20th to 23rd of this month. Schools have taken part with both girls and boys team. The girls section of the tournament is competed by 7 schools, Imaduddin, Ghiyasuddin, Billabong High, Thaajuddin, Huravee and Ahmadhiyya. Each team will play against each team and the best 4 teams will make it to the semi round.

The grade 2 and grade 3 boys sections were however competed by 18 schools which are divided into 4 groups. The tournament will hold 4 matches at once and will be played at Henveiru Ground. 

The founder of the festival Ali Shameem said the hopes of this being another success is guaranteed. And the tournament will also take place in Addu City, Fuvahmulah and Noonu Atoll throughout the year.
