Eydhafushi hasn’t given up just yet
Against all expectations, Eydhafushi won the game against Maziya.
The match started strongly from both sides as both sides came after losing in their last game. A win at all costs were necessary to maintain their fight to move forward in the championship. In the 36th minute the work of Eydhafushi was rewarded with a strike from Ismail Shareef which was the sole goal of the game. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Eydhafushi with their player Ali Naseem winning the man of the match award.
After a good start to the tournament after a win against the defending champions, Maziya have now lost 2 games in a row, first being against United Victory and second being this evening against Eydhafushi. Currently all teams in group B now have 3 points and it’s all to play for if any side is to make it into the semis.
Eagles will battle against United Victory tonight in what could be one of the biggest games in group B.
