Kulhudhuffushi beat Kurimbi 4-2 to kick off Minivan Championship 2017.

Anwar Adam, who was declared the Man of the Match scored two goals for Kulhudhuffushi. Hassan Shamil and Ibrahim Hassan scored each. Mohamed Anan and Hamid Adam scored for Kurimbi. Kurimbi will play against Kumundhoo on the 26th of march while Kulhudhuffushi plays them on the 29th to complete the 3 team group stage. Kulhudhuffushi, Kurimbi and Kumudhoo are in Group A of Haa Dhaal Atoll.

Kulhudhuffushi is the favorites in the Haa Dhaal Atoll tournament. Haa Dhaal Atoll has 9 teams in the Minivan Championship. Divided into 3 groups of 3, 1 team from each team plus the best 2nd place from the 3 groups qualify to the semi-finals. The winner of the Haa Dhaal Atoll plays home and away basis two leg finals against the champions of Haa Alif. The winner will be declared Zone champions. 4 of the eight Zone Champions will Qualify to the Dhivehi Premier League with four top teams from the Male' League.
