C-Certificate Course To Be Held In Addu

The Football Association of Maldives has announced yet another C-Certificate course.

The course will be held in Hithadhoo-Addu City from the 10th to 22nd of March 2019. Applicants are to fill in the form by the 15th of February 2019. There is no specific requirement for C-Certificate course at the moment. According to FAM, from next year onwards, D-Licence could become a must in order to apply for the C-Certificate.

Previously known as the AFC-C Certificate, this year onwards the C-Certificate will be called the FAM-C Certificate. Unlike previous years, when the participants complete the C-Certificate, they will be issued a C-Licence by the Football Association. The Licence will be valid for two years. If the holder wants to renew his Licence, he or she has work in the field. Those certificate holders whose Licences have expired due to not coaching, can sit for a refresher course. A refresher course is like a seminar and no exams will be taken like the Certificate courses.

This is the second C-Certificate course in the Maldives this year. Since assuming office, the new Technical Director Ihusan Abdul Ghani has given special interest in coach education. Employing Mohamed Shazly as the head of Coach Education department, FAM has held more courses in these two years than last five years.

An A-Certificate course was held after almost ten years, couple of B-Certificate course has been held in addition to the C-Certificate course. FAM has also created two C-Certificate level instructors last year. D-Certificate instructor course was held at the end of last year creating fifteen new D-Certificate instructors.
