National team assistant coach, Coach Ahmed Shakir (Shaakitte) is taking part in 11th JFA Football Conference held in Koachi, Japan.

Coach Shaakitte is the head of Elite and Youth development of Football Association of Maldives.  The 2018 SAFF Championship winning side coach joined FAM technical side leaving Club Eagles after spending a decade with Eagles.

Coach Shaakitte had a very successful time with Club Eagles. Where he won youth championship with Eagles for a historic three times in a row, the first to do. And won the best youth coach award of the tournament for all those. And won president cup with Eagels senior side.

In addition he has being the assistant coach for Maldives under 19 national side for more than  2 years before being named as senior team assistant coach.
