FAM is set to introduce the D-Certificate coaching courses. 

Fifteen coaches completed the D-License instructor course held from the 17th to 20th of December in Male'. These instructors together with the FAM Coaching department will conduct coaching courses throughout the atolls. FAM has plans to set up development zones in the atolls. Coaches who complete the FAM-D-Certificate course can go on to the FAM-C-Certificate course. 

At the moment coaches can directly take part in the C-Certificate courses, but with the introduction of the D-Certificate, it could become a prerequisite to the C-Certificate.

The D-Certificate equips participating coaches with basic techniques and fundamentals of football.
