No club from Maldives will be featuring in the next year AFC club competitions as AFC suspends Football Association of Maldives after failing to complete the officials process of club licences and registering process in the given time.

There for no clubs from Maldives will have the chance to play in the upcoming AFC Cup , neither in the group stage nor in the preliminary or play-off.

Though FAM send a letter to AFC requesting to provide little bit more time to let complete the club registering process, AFC has rejected the request.
